Blaby District Council is seeking a hardworking and dedicated District Cleansing Operative to join our small established team.

If you are passionate about keeping our community clean and tidy, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

Duties include

  • Emptying dual waste bins and ensuring all areas are clear of waste
  • Litter picking
  • Removal of fly tipping
  • Operating the footway sweeper (full training will be provided)
  • Ensuring a high standard of cleanliness across the district

To be successful in this role it is essential that you hold a full class C1 (7.5T) driving licence and be able to:

  • Engage effectively with members of the public and colleagues
  • Work Flexibly, including weekends as part of a rota
  • Work outdoors in various weather conditions as part of a team

Prior experience in a cleaning or maintenance role is desirable, but not essential as full training will be given.
