Licensing Officer Scale 3 £25,584 - £27,711 per annum (pro rata) Permanent 18.5 hours per week, (Wednesday 4 hours between 1.00 p.m. and 5.00 p.m. Thursday 7.5 hours and Friday 7.0 hours) The Licensing department are looking for an additional licensing officer to support the team in striving to put the customer at the heart of everything we do. The range of work is such that no two days are ever the same and includes duties such as processing applications, producing licences, providing advice and guidance, dealing with enquiries and complaints, and supporting enforcement action. Accuracy and attention to detail is crucial, given the important role that licensing plays in ensuring public safety. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences, deal with challenging or difficult situations, prioritise workload to meet deadlines, can demonstrate a practical approach to problem solving, and have a willingness to collaborate with other departments and agencies both internally and externally. It is also essential for the successful candidate to be a strong team player, be enthusiastic and motivated, and take pride in delivering high quality services. Applicants must have:- A good working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of packages. Experience of working within a customer services environment. Proven experience of working in an administrative environment.
