We are looking for a Trainee Accountant to join our Cobham Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare financial accounts for sole traders, partnerships, limited companies and small groups.
- Assist with audits for larger clients, including planning, fieldwork and completion under supervision.
- Prepare monthly or quarterly management accounts, including posting journals for accruals, prepayments, depreciation and payroll.
- Prepare control reconciliations and analytical review schedules.
- Work closely with managers and partners to support the delivery of accounts, audit and advisory assignments.
- Liaise with clients in a professional and timely manner, building strong working relationships.
- Support special projects for clients seeking finance, acquisitions or wider business advice.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure work is completed to a high standard and within agreed deadlines.
Candidate Requirements
- Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
- Strong communication skills, with the confidence to liaise with clients and colleagues.
- A positive attitude, great work ethic and willingness to learn.
