Responsible for all aspects of the Personal Tax function at the Solihull office reporting to the three directors.

As a Tax Manager your role will include

  • Overseeing personal tax compliance for approximately 800 clients including HNWIs and trusts.
  • Providing complex tax technical advice to clients and colleagues in connection with income tax, capital gains tax and inheritance tax planning
  • Ensuring that statutory tax filing deadlines and client expectations are met by the personal tax staff.
  • Monitoring tax return completion and keep the directors updated on progress.
  • Maintaining and develop tax technical knowledge.
  • Manage WIP, billing and recoverability for the personal tax department.
  • Oversee the personal tax staff including reviewing work, assisting with technical matters and undertaking staff appraisals.

The Ideal Tax Manager will

  • Be CTA / ATT Qualified or equivalent experience in personal tax
  • Have strong analytical and communication skills
  • Show good organisational and time management skills
  • Have a strong technical knowledge with the ability to interpret complex tax legislation
