We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join our team in Swansea. This role will report directly to the Partner and will involve supporting a diverse client portfolio while contributing to the development of junior team members and maintaining high technical standards across the team.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing year-end accounts for a range of clients including limited companies, sole traders, partnerships, and charities in accordance with FRS102 and other applicable standards
  • Providing support to and developing junior members of the team
  • Reviewing the work of junior staff, resolving technical queries, and ensuring files are ready for Partner review
  • Working closely with the Partner and supporting the delivery of client services
  • Assisting with audit assignments where required (audit experience advantageous)
  • Communicating with clients via telephone and email to respond to queries and provide support
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal procedures

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience within an accountancy practice
  • ACA / ACCA part-qualified, fully qualified or Qualified By Experience (QBE)
  • Up to date with accounting training and CPD requirements
  • Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills
  • Experience with CCH is advantageous, although training will be provided
  • Ability to review work and provide support and training to junior team members
  • Strong communication skills with a professional approach to client interaction
  • Motivated, eager to learn, and seeking a long-term career in a fast-changing environment
