We currently have an exciting opportunity for two Accounts Assistants to join our team, based at our offices in Perth and Pitlochry. This role will support the wider accounts team in delivering high quality services to a varied client base while gaining valuable experience in a modern accountancy practice environment.
Brief Job Description
- Processing financial data and carrying out reconciliations
- Preparing and processing VAT and tax returns alongside regular bookkeeping tasks
- Assisting clients with the transition to Making Tax Digital (MTD) compliant software
- Preparing accounts on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
- Supporting other members of the team with day-to-day accounting tasks
- Communicating with clients via telephone and email when required
- Supporting senior staff with firm growth and innovation initiatives
- Contributing fresh ideas and improvements to processes within the firm
- Ensuring clients consistently receive exceptional customer service
Requirements for the role
- Excellent computing skills
- Punctual with an organised and structured approach to work
- Ability to adapt to new software and technology
- Strong communication and people skills
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a busy environment
- Experience with accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word would be advantageous
