We are currently recruiting for a Bookkeeper to join the bk plus team based in Helston.

Responsibilities

  • Monthly bookkeeping including bank and cash reconciliations, entering wages journals, calculating and posting prepayments and accruals.
  • Preparation of VAT returns for various clients including sole trade, partnerships and limited companies.
  • Running weekly/fortnightly/monthly payrolls including the submission of pension information to various pension providers.
  • Preparation and submission of CIS returns.
  • Preparation of management accounts for various clients on a quarterly basis.
  • Preparation of annual accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
  • Supporting other members of the team with day-to-day accounting tasks.
  • Communicating with clients via telephone and email when required.
  • Assisting and training clients on use of a variety of accounting software.

The ideal candidate

  • Excellent computing skills.
  • Punctual with an organised and structured approach to work.
  • Ability to adapt to new software and technology.
  • Strong communication and people skills.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a busy environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office necessary.
  • Experience with QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Hammock and FreeAgent desirable.
