We are currently recruiting for a Payroll Manager to join our team based in Glasgow City Centre and lead the Payroll team. As the Payroll Manager you will be responsible for managing a payroll team and a portfolio of payroll clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing a portfolio of payroll clients
  • Making timely RTI submissions
  • Applying knowledge of PAYE/NIC and statutory payments (SMP/SAP, SPP, SSP)
  • Applying knowledge of pension schemes, including AE process and pension upload to pension providers’ website
  • Keeping up to date with new payroll legislation and compliance
  • Proactively liaising with HMRC and assisting with technical enquiries when they arise
  • Processing manual payroll calculations
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external contacts at all levels
  • Using own initiative to resolve issues
  • Supporting and developing a payroll team

Qualifications:

  • Experience using Sage Payroll
  • Up-to-date knowledge of current payroll legislation
  • Knowledge of the Construction Industry Scheme
  • Attention to detail and high concern for accuracy
