We are currently recruiting for a Payroll Manager to join our team based in Glasgow City Centre and lead the Payroll team. As the Payroll Manager you will be responsible for managing a payroll team and a portfolio of payroll clients.
Responsibilities:
- Managing a portfolio of payroll clients
- Making timely RTI submissions
- Applying knowledge of PAYE/NIC and statutory payments (SMP/SAP, SPP, SSP)
- Applying knowledge of pension schemes, including AE process and pension upload to pension providers’ website
- Keeping up to date with new payroll legislation and compliance
- Proactively liaising with HMRC and assisting with technical enquiries when they arise
- Processing manual payroll calculations
- Developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external contacts at all levels
- Using own initiative to resolve issues
- Supporting and developing a payroll team
Qualifications:
- Experience using Sage Payroll
- Up-to-date knowledge of current payroll legislation
- Knowledge of the Construction Industry Scheme
- Attention to detail and high concern for accuracy
