The
Accounts Associate will support the preparation of accounts, bookkeeping, and compliance work for a range of clients while completing a structured training programme.
This role is ideal for someone beginning their professional accounting career and looking for hands on experience alongside formal qualification.
Key Responsibilities
- Bookkeeping and data processing in accounts software, such as Sage, Xero, Quickbooks, etc.
- Assist with the preparation of VAT returns.
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements.
- Assist with the preparation of management accounts.
- Liaison with clients to build a rapport on an ongoing basis when completing work.
- Ensuring completed work is accurate and professionally presented to senior members of staff.
- Administrative duties — Filing, scanning, organising client documents, and supporting the wider team.
Qualifications
- Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail
- Good understanding of basic accounting principles or willingness to learn
- Confident with Excel and general IT system
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Professional communication and a positive attitude toward learning
- Ability to work well in a small team environment
