At bk plus we are seeking a Tax Associate to join our growing team in Birmingham City Centre.
As an accountancy firm on a rapid growth plan through acquisition and are looking for a Tax Associate to help us.
- Brief Job Description
- Preparation of personal tax returns for director clients, landlords and sole traders.
- Reviewing and updating tax codes.
- Preparation of end of year P11D forms.
- Administrative duties to assist more senior staff.
- Liaising with HMRC for progress chasing
- The role will ideally suit a graduate who is looking to expand their knowledge in the accountancy field, but we will consider a non-graduate if the individual shows a keen interest.
- Regular communication with clients and HMRC, so excellent communication skills, as well as the ability to work well within in a team, is essential.
- There may be the opportunity to study towards professional tax exams such as the ATT/CTA.
Requirements for the role
- Excellent people skills, particularly over the phone
- The ability to do repetitive, process driven tasks quickly and accurately
- Ideally some knowledge of personal tax
- A good working knowledge of; Excel, Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams
- Knowledge of CCH accounting software (preferred but not required)
