bk plus is a multi-disciplinary advisory firm supporting a diverse portfolio of owner-managed businesses, private equity-backed groups and entrepreneurial clients across the UK. Our Corporate Finance team provides lead advisory services across acquisitions, disposals, management buy-outs and buy-ins, fundraising and wider strategic advisory assignments. As we continue to expand our Midlands and national presence, we are seeking an experienced Corporate Finance Manager to play a pivotal role in leading transactions, supporting growth initiatives and helping to shape the development of our Birmingham Corporate Finance team.
Role Overview
The Corporate Finance Manager will act as the day-to-day lead on transactions, managing deal processes from initial mandate through to completion, while working closely with Directors and Partners on execution, client relationships and origination activity. This is a hands-on delivery role with significant client exposure, responsibility for managing multiple concurrent mandates, and a clear pathway towards Director level for high performers.

- Transaction Execution & Project Leadership
- Act as the day-to-day transaction lead on buy-side, sell-side, MBO, MBI and fundraising assignments.
- Manage end-to-end deal processes including initial scoping, marketing strategy, execution and completion.
- Lead the preparation of Information Memoranda, financial analysis, valuation materials, teasers, management presentations and other transaction documentation.
- Coordinate buyer, investor and lender engagement, including NDAs, process letters, management meetings and data room management.
- Support negotiations on valuation, structure and key commercial terms, including Heads of Terms and SPA considerations.
- Maintain momentum across transactions, proactively managing timetables, stakeholders and risk points.
- Build, review and challenge complex financial models including integrated forecasts, valuation models and scenario analysis.
- Analyse historic trading performance, forecast assumptions and key value drivers to support transaction strategy.
- Support the structuring of equity and debt funding solutions in collaboration with funders and advisers.
- Translate financial outputs into clear, commercial insights for clients and senior stakeholders.
- Lead and coordinate financial, tax, legal and commercial due diligence processes.
- Act as the central point of contact between clients, buyers/investors, funders and external advisers.
- Review diligence findings, identify key issues and support Directors and Partners in addressing risks during negotiations.
- Assist in managing completion mechanics, including sources and uses, equity bridges and completion accounts.
- Client Relationship & Business Development Support
- Build trusted relationships with business owners, private equity houses, lenders and professional advisers.
- Support Directors and Partners in pitches, proposals and mandate conversion activity.
- Contribute to origination through networking, relationship development and proactive market engagement.
- Represent bk plus professionally in meetings, events and client interactions.
- Manage, mentor and review the work of Analysts and Executives across live assignments.
- Ensure high technical standards, consistency and quality across all deliverables.
- Support training, coaching and knowledge sharing within the Corporate Finance team.
- Play an active role in developing team culture, processes and best practice.
Requirements for the role
- Strong experience in corporate finance, M&A or transaction advisory within the UK mid-market.
- Demonstrable track record of leading transaction execution across multiple deal types.
- Advanced financial modelling, valuation and analytical capability.
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders, advisers and workstreams simultaneously.
- Commercially minded with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Confident client-facing professional with the ability to operate at business owner and investor level.
- Proven ability to manage and develop junior team members.
- ACA, ACCA, CFA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
