An opportunity is now open for an Associate or Senior Associate Valuation Surveyor to join our thriving, growing and collaborative National Valuation Team in Scotland. Our National Valuation Team is expanding hence this position becoming available.

Location: Scotland based. We have an office in Glasgow which is fully operational and utilised by a number of our National Teams. This role is not solely for the Glasgow region and can therefore be home based.

Work Type: Hybrid working, Permanent, Full-Time but we are happy to consider flexible working approaches for this role.

Team: National Valuation Team, Red-Book Valuations. You will be joining a National Team that covers England, Wales and Scotland. Our Glasgow hub currently has 5 surveyors and we are looking to grow this.

Salary: Competitive Salary + Car Allowance + Bonus + Employee Benefits Package.

About the role: You will have a key role in delivering Red Book-compliant valuations for loan security purposes on commercial, residential (owner occupied and investment) as well as commercial and residential development schemes. We undertake valuations on a diverse portfolio of commercial as well as residential property giving you the variety and scope to keep your work engaging and high-impact. You will have the opportunity to contribute to larger portfolio valuations and benefit from the shared knowledge of specialists across the UK. This opportunity would suit someone who is a MRICS Chartered Surveyor and a RICS Registered Valuer to carry out Red Book valuations including those for secured loan purposes acting for High Street banks as well as National Lenders. We provide valuation advice on a national basis on specialist properties, including trade related as well as the leisure and care sectors.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Carrying out Red Book valuations of commercial and residential properties for secured lending and accounting purposes.
  • Fee Earner – maximise fee income.
  • Maximising efficiency and optimising the profitability of work for the team.
  • Supporting the team in providing high quality valuation advice to a wide range of clients.
  • Helping to secure business opportunities from client development for the company.
