BJSS is seeking a Social Value Lead to play a key role in the Business Development team, proactively driving BJSS’ Social Value message into bids and proposals and ensuring we are staying ahead of the competition with regards to our Social Value proposition.

Key responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the business development and bid response teams to ensure key social value data and collateral is incorporated into client proposals, pitches, bids and presentations
  • Own, manage and develop all information and collateral related to BJSS’ social value efforts so that it can be used as part of business development activity. Continuously iterate and improve this to strengthen our message and positioning
  • Drive BJSS’ social value message out to the market to ensure our initiatives are understood and amplified, working collaboratively with marketing to develop collateral, case studies and thought leadership content highlight our social impact initiatives and successes
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with potential clients, partners, and stakeholders who share our commitment to social responsibility and sustainability
  • Work closely with BJSS’ partners to understand their social value agendas and initiatives available to BJSS to help strengthen our social value position
  • Represent BJSS at industry conferences, networking events and client meetings to promote our social value proposition and build brand awareness
  • Stay up to date with the market and identify emerging trends, opportunities and challenges to ensure BJSS stays ahead of the competition with regards to its social value proposition, providing recommendations back into the business as to how we can continuously improve
  • Understand social value requirements across the public sector and ensure we are meeting these, and where not, work with stakeholders internally to develop plans to ensure we can in the future

About You

An expert in social value, you have a deep understanding of market needs/requirements, particularly in a public sector context. You have experience of working in a professional services setting and know how social value can be driven and best leveraged to support business development efforts. A natural collaborator, you are comfortable working across multiple functions to gather data, develop propositions and collateral. You are able to operate and communicate across all levels and have experience of working with external stakeholders in relation to social value topics.
