About the Role
As the Service Design and Transition Manager, you will work closely with the Service Design and Transition Lead and have the following key responsibilities:
- Thought Leadership
- Provide input to our Managed Service Design and Transition Strategy
- Help develop robust and repeatable templates for Service Design, Transition & Acceptance processes
- Align Service Design and Transition with business processes
- Objectives
- Create artefacts for multiple clients to ensure high quality and consistency in Service Discovery, Design, and Transition.
- Support Current Service Support β understanding the 'as is' state and conducting maturity assessments
- Define Service Support Scope, Model, SLAs, Processes, Support Runbook, Toolset, Roles, Responsibilities, Reports, Transition Plan, Security, and Third-party integrations
- Build and follow Service Transition plans, milestones, and acceptance criteria
- Set up monitoring and alerting tools, environment handover, and technical handover to SDMs
- People Management
- Support and mentor team members in the Service Design and Transition function.
- Raising awareness of BJSS (Managed Services)
- Participate in internal and external events, townhalls, conferences, meetups, and communication channels to promote BJSS Managed Services.
- Collective Management Responsibilities
- Support Recruitment, Learning & Development, Events & Marketing, Business Development, Bids & Pre-sales
- Provide Service Management and Managed Service consultancy for client engagements
- Support early Managed Service involvement in client discussions
- Work flexibly across Managed Service engagements as needed
