BJF Group is a leading multidiscipline Main Contractor based across the UK, specialising in delivering high quality construction projects across various sectors, priding ourselves on our reputation for excellence and attention to detail. Within our Facilities Management division, the small works team plays a crucial role in the day-to-day delivery of planned minor works across a diverse range of properties and systems within our client's sites.
The Project Manager will be responsible for the profitable planning, scheduling and delivery of all extra works and projects across 450 buildings within military estates across the South East, submitting prices and timeframes for delivery to build a small works pipeline as well as generating new works through ongoing condition reports and asset lifecycle failures.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure BJF Group and the clientβs SSOW, H&S policy and procedures are in place and followed, such as accidents and near misses being recorded and reported in accordance with BJF Group and clients reporting system.
- Support to Head of Projects for incidental works and other new works streams.
- Work with the Head of Projects and Commercial Manager to ensure the customer programme is achieved when required.
- Collaborate with other members of the contract/Division/Business to ensure effective team working and support to colleagues.
- Responsible for ensuring all their projects meet the pricing Key Performance Indicators issued by the client.
- Liaison with client representatives and customers to ensure specification of works is correct and client user is updated throughout works.
- Maximise opportunities to use internal supply chain for delivering injected works.
Qualifications:
- Hold an industry recognised qualification NVQ or similar in Mechanical trade.
- Demonstrable experience of CDM2015 regulations.
- Hold an industry recognised H&S management qualification (IOSH or SMSTS).
- Experienced in High Volume Low Value project turnaround.
- Managerial experience at Supervisor level within technical and/or hard services is essential.
