BJF Group is a leading multidiscipline Main Contractor based across the UK, specialising in delivering high quality construction projects across various sectors, priding ourselves on our reputation for excellence and attention to detail. Within our Facilities Management division, the Southwest Core team plays a crucial role in the day-to-day delivery of reactive and preventative works across a diverse range of properties and systems within our client's sites as a Gas Engineer.

Within the team, you will be expected to provide comprehensive repairs and maintenance to a range of commercial installations. You will be responsible for performing various reactive and preventative, trade-related duties to enable BJF Group to meet and exceed its contractual obligations with its clients across multiple estates of varying ages and building types:

  • General plumbing duties, repair works and minor installations of low temperature hot water and heating systems.
  • Liaising with other staff and external contractors in a positive and cooperative manner to ensure the timely and proper completion of works.
  • Ensuring appropriate and timely completion of tasks, followed by submission of all relevant paperwork, job/time sheets and any necessary certification.
  • Working with line manager and providing advice and information relating to any technical matters.
  • Being commercially aware and responsible for ordering required materials from suppliers efficiently, following the company's purchasing procedures.

Requirements:

  • Trade related Qualification relevant for a Gas Engineer: CCN1 (or COCDN1), COCN1 (or CODNCO1), CIGA1, CDGA1LL CCCN1, CCLP1.

Salary is dependent on experience and qualifications of the Gas Engineer.
