Position
Following an uplift in BJF\’s scope of works, our FM division are looking to appoint an experienced and professional Mobile Maintenance Engineer to work as part of the South West Projects and Small Works team, responding to reactive calls, carrying out first fix where possible and scoping quotes for repair where first fix is not possible to ensure minimum downtime across a range of properties and systems within MOD camps across Wiltshire.
Reporting directly into Project Management , our engineering team carry out all planned building and fabrication maintenance tasks as per program, keeping accurate auditable records of works planned and completed whilst maintaining a proactive approach to health, safety and wellbeing in the work environment, taking necessary steps to ensure that risks are mitigated.
Primary responsibilities of the role:
2nd person on Fabrication work
Take deliveries and check off items for the Projects team
Complete compound checks on multiple sites
Escorting contractors
Move materials to sites which are undergoing project works
Acting as Banksman
Keeping the project storage area and compound clean and tidy
Supporting the Electrical projects team when needed with stripping down old light fittings, cable pulling, etc…
General daytoday support of the wider Projects team
Requirements
To be considered for the role, you will need to demonstrate a mix of the following:
MEWP and PASMA qualified preferable
City & Guilds or other accredited qualification in a relevant field
Competent to assess repairs required with ability to complete works with minimal guidance
Experience of basic building maintenance and repairs painting & decorating, tiling, plastering etc…
Basic plumbing knowledge (clearing blocked drainage, compression fittings etc…)
Experience of timber & UPVC door and window installation/repairs
