BJF Group is a leading multidiscipline Main Contractor based across the UK, specialising in delivering high quality construction projects across various sectors. Within our Facilities Management division, the Southwest Core team plays a crucial role in the day-to-day delivery of reactive and preventative works across a diverse range of properties and systems.
As an Air Conditioning Engineer, you will be expected to provide comprehensive repairs and maintenance to a range of commercial installations.
- Carry out installation and maintenance of relevant trade in domestic and commercial buildings.
- Service all AC units at prestigious commercial dwellings.
- Fault finding and repairs of air conditioning systems; VRV VRF's, split units, chillers providing maintenance and inspection of all units on sites.
- Complete small works, installations and refurbishments of AC cooling equipment.
- Ensure all works are completed to a high standard, in a competent manner, and leave the site in a clean and tidy condition.
- Liaise with other staff and external contractors positively to ensure timely and proper completion of works.
- Ensure appropriate and timely completion of tasks, followed by submission of all relevant paperwork, job/time sheets and any necessary certification.
- Work with line manager and provide advice and information relating to any technical matters.
- Ensure that any required qualifications for this position remain valid and that any necessary training is arranged and undertaken.
- Attend meetings, training sessions and conferences as required.
- Be commercially aware and responsible for ordering required materials from suppliers efficiently.
- Perform general ad-hoc maintenance tasks when required.
- Understand your responsibility for the health, safety and wellbeing of your team and promote a positive health and safety culture.
Requirements:
- A Current F gas category one certificate.
- NVQ level 2 in AC.
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Experience carrying out trade related maintenance, installation and fault finds.
- Experience of planned preventative maintenance and reactive works/tasks completed within KPIs.
- Understanding of Safety Regulations.
- Knowledge of different Maintenance Techniques.
- Ability to work to set targets.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and develop.
- Initiative to problem solve.
