Started in 2019, we built the first mobile-first, insurance platform, enabling insurance to be accessible online by millions in the region. Today, its the leading insurance platform in Southeast Asia. Today, we are expanding ways to help people in the region — this includes spending, saving, investing, exchanging, travelling, and more. Our mission is help people get more from their money every day. We have teams working around the world, with over 20 nationalities from our offices and remotely, who truly enjoys their work. Who loves building great next-generation products, not status quo. Who cares about redefining how everyone around us can get the best financial applications, not for an exclusive few. We are looking for iOS engineers to build the native iOS experience for BJAK's AI Neobank app. This role is for someone who cares about clean user flows, fast performance, product quality and shipping reliable mobile features used by real customers. Build and ship native iOS features for onboarding, accounts, cards, payments, transfers, rewards and AI-assisted user journeys. Make complex financial flows feel clean, fast and simple on mobile. Work with product, design, backend and AI engineers to take ideas from rough concept to production release. Own app quality across performance, crash rate, loading states, edge cases, responsiveness and release stability. Integrate APIs, authentication, secure data handling and financial workflows with strong attention to reliability. Experience shipping iOS apps used by real users. Strong product sense and care for UX, not just building screens. Able to debug production issues and improve performance, reliability and app quality. A strong highlight means you personally helped build, ship or scale a serious product, platform or system. Developers who build screens without caring about user experience. People who ignore crashes, edge cases, loading states or performance. This is a hybrid role. You are expected to work from our UK office at least 3 days per week. Language English is our main working language across global teams. Strong English communication is required. Online assessment or practical task

How to prepare for a job interview at Bjak

Brush Up on Your Coding Skills

For a full-time software engineering role, it's crucial that we stay sharp with our coding abilities. Expect technical questions that might involve solving problems on the spot or discussing algorithms. Practise on platforms like LeetCode or HackerRank to get comfortable with the types of questions that often come up.

Know Your Tools and Frameworks

Make sure we’re well-acquainted with the tools and technologies listed in the job description. Familiarise ourselves with any specific frameworks or programming languages mentioned. If Bjak uses React or Node.js, for instance, be ready to discuss how we’ve used them in previous projects or coursework.

Showcase Your Projects

Bring along a portfolio that highlights our best work. This could be code samples, GitHub repositories, or any side projects we’ve built. Make sure we can talk through our thought process for each project, especially the challenges we faced and how we solved them—this shows our problem-solving skills in action.

Prepare for Behavioural Questions

While technical skills are key, full-time positions also require cultural fit. Be ready to discuss our previous experiences and how we handle teamwork, conflict, and deadlines. Brush up on the STAR method—Situation, Task, Action, Result—to clearly articulate our past experiences when discussing how we've contributed to a team.
