We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Head of Photography to lead and develop our Photography provision at GCSE and A Level from January 2027.
This is an excellent opportunity for an outstanding teacher with a strong subject knowledge and a commitment to delivering exceptional outcomes for students.
The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the curriculum, promoting creativity and fostering a love of Photography across the school.
The Role
The Head of Photography will
- Lead the development and delivery of Photography across the school.
- Inspire students through innovative and engaging teaching.
- Monitor and improve student achievement and progress.
- Develop schemes of work and curriculum resources.
- Support and mentor colleagues where appropriate.
- Promote enrichment opportunities, exhibitions and creative projects.

The Successful Candidate Will Have
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
- A degree or relevant qualification in Photography, Art, or a related field.
- Experience of teaching Photography at secondary level.
- Excellent classroom practice and subject knowledge.
- Strong organisational and leadership skills.
- A commitment to raising standards and ensuring excellent outcomes for all students.
- Be aware of health and safety issues and act in accordance with the school's Health and Safety Policy.
