As a Product Designer, you will be part of a small, high-impact design team shaping the Bitfinex product experience across web and mobile platforms. This is a hands-on role with a high level of ownership, where you’ll be expected to move quickly, think independently, and contribute directly to product direction.

  • Product Thinking: Work closely with product, engineering, and leadership to define problems, explore solutions, and drive clear, user-focused outcomes. You’ll be expected to think beyond screens and contribute to product direction.
  • End-to-End Design: Own the full design process from discovery and flows, through to high-fidelity UI and developer handoff. Ensure consistency, usability, and quality across all touchpoints.
  • User Experience: Design intuitive, scalable experiences that simplify complex financial workflows and make advanced trading tools accessible to a wide range of users.
  • Design Systems: Contribute to and evolve the design system to ensure consistency, efficiency, and scalability across the platform.

Qualifications:

  • Experience collaborating closely with developers and understanding technical constraints.
  • At least 3 years of experience designing complex digital products, ideally within fintech, trading, or data-heavy platforms.
  • Highly proficient in Figma, with experience working within and evolving design systems.
  • Highly autonomous work ethic, with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities to improve the product and design processes.
  • Ability to work with ambiguous or incomplete information, exercising sound judgment to determine when to make assumptions and when to engage stakeholders for clarification.
  • A sharp eye for detail, interaction design, and usability.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate decisions.
  • Experience designing for both web and mobile platforms.
  • Comfortable operating in a small team with high ownership and minimal hand-holding.
  • Strong product thinking. Able to solve problems, not just design screens.
  • Experience with trading platforms, financial products, or data visualization.
  • Degree or qualification in Design, UX/UI, HCI, Fine Arts, Multimedia Design, or related field (preferred but not mandatory depending on experience).
