Key responsibilities
- As a senior Backend Developer, you will be a part of the team that works on the development of the backend components of all Bitfinex Services (main trading application, Bitfinex Pay, Lightning Network support, Blockchain integrations, etc.).
- New Products and Features: Creating innovative features to provide the most professional trading experience, developed using agile methodologies.
- Scalability: Ensuring backend services remain smooth, responsive, and real-time as the platform scales, including maintaining the Bitfinex API.
- Security: Building all API services and backend processes with high security standards to protect users.
Minimum requirements
- Exceptional Node/JavaScript skills
- Familiarity with microservices architecture
- Experience developing complex platforms
- Good experience with databases (MySQL, MongoDB)
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies
- Understanding of security practices
Nice to have
- Experience with blockchain integration
- Comfortable with high-availability concepts
- Skills in Ruby, Rust, or C++
- Knowledge of message queues (Redis), caches, and job queues
