We are working with a long established UK retail and hospitality business operating across multi site retail stores locations. The business is looking for a hands on Management Accountant to strengthen its finance function and take ownership of management reporting, systems improvement and financial insight across a complex and fast moving environment. This is not a transactional or assistant level role. The requirement is for someone who can operate close to senior level, work with autonomy and help modernise how financial information is produced and used.
What You Will Be Doing
- Ownership of monthly management accounts including profit and loss, balance sheet and reconciliations
- Improving timeliness and accuracy of financial reporting
- Supporting multi site retail and food hall operations
- Managing complex cost recharges such as utilities, waste and shared services
- Supporting weekly vendor settlements and high volume supplier environments
- Helping automate KPI reporting and management dashboards
- Improving use of systems including Sage 50
- Supporting junior finance team members with technical guidance
- Working closely with the Financial Controller on reporting and improvements
What They Are Looking For
- Strong management accounting experience including full month end ownership
- Experience in multi site retail, hospitality or complex operational environments
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and reporting cycles
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience with accounting systems, Sage experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of reporting

- Exposure to high volume transactional environments
- Experience improving reporting processes or introducing automation
- Interest in systems, reporting tools and AI driven efficiencies
