About You

Requirements
- At least 3 years’ experience in embedded software development
- Ability to ‘own’ a project from a software perspective
- Extensive knowledge of all aspects of programming in ‘C’, especially low level/bare-metal
- Good working knowledge of another programming language unrelated to ‘C’
- Ability to develop low level applications on modern microcontrollers – we generally use ARM Cortex-M series processors
- Ability to read and understand schematics, datasheets and errata notices as they relate to software development
- Ability to use test equipment to verify correct functioning of embedded software
- Skill in debugging problems and resolving issues without recourse to software debugging tools
- Educated to degree level
Responsibilities
- Responsible for full developments (Our developments vary from a few weeks to a few months)
- Mentoring junior members of staff (dependant on experience)
- Adhering to written specifications
- Creating code that is well written, stable, reliable and easy to maintain
- Testing to verify code is performing to specification.
- Documentation as required by the specification
- Second line support on your developments
- Working as part of a team on larger projects
