We currently have a wonderful opportunity to join our dynamic team as a Local Marketing Manager/Duty Manager at our Plymouth site. Nestled in the historic Royal William Yard, our boutique hotel and signature restaurant offer a unique blend of comfort, character, and cuisine. Job summary
The Local Marketing Manager/Duty Manager will combine creative marketing with strong operational leadership to drive customer loyalty, brand awareness, and revenue growth. Working closely with the General Manager, Marketing, and restaurant team, they will ensure consistent delivery of our brand vision, high standards of service, and an exceptional guest experience.
Key responsibilities
- Work alongside the General Manager to manage room rates, build consistent corporate trade and stay packages with local businesses.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive local marketing plan for both the restaurant and hotel.
- Act as Duty Manager, overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional guest service, and maintaining high operational standards.
- Manage budgets, liaise with local suppliers, and make decisions on promotions, events, and partnerships in line with business objectives.
- Identify key customer segments and develop targeted marketing campaigns.
- Track and report on ROI for marketing initiatives and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Digital Marketing & Social Media: Manage and grow social media presence (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.) with engaging, brand-aligned content.
- Oversee Google My Business, TripAdvisor, Yelp, and other review platforms.
- Brand & Community Engagement: Develop local partnerships (e.g. tourism boards, local businesses, events, influencers).
- Organise and promote in-house events, seasonal promotions, and community initiatives.
- Work alongside the General Manager and central marketing team to maintain brand consistency and push wider brand initiatives.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in marketing, preferably in hospitality, food & beverage, or lifestyle brands.
- Excellent communication, writing, and storytelling skills.
- Strong visual and brand awareness.
- Self-starter with a creative mindset and a love for food, hospitality, and community.
