SAP Project Manager (Senior) is required ASAP for a fully home based remote role in the UK covering cloud migration clients in the EMEA region. Our client is a highly reputable market leader in its field, a consulting organisation specialising in automating and re-platforming SAP customers onto the cloud
The SAP Project Manager will take overall responsibility and ownership for all post-sale aspects of the successful delivery to the highest standards, of a project or portfolio of projects
The success of these projects is defined as a delighted customer and a project delivered at the planned margin
The project manager will be expected to lead, co-ordinate and manage internal/external teams to successfully deliver projects ensuring that agreed frameworks, tools, methodologies and automation tools are utilised effectively
The Project Manager will be able to operate independently calling on support when required, and ensuring that risks and issues and identified and mitigated or escalated as appropriate; and opportunities are identified and pursued
Responsibilities:
- Project Planning Framework: Takes responsibility for the integrity of the Project Planning Framework and that Planning Processes are followed to ensure that the Project formulates a set of Plans that provide confidence that:
- Project Quality Framework: Ensures that the Quality Framework dictates the finite Quality Criteria that each Phase & Stage are required to comply with in order ensure that the Project Phases are commenced & completed in a manner that maintains the integrity of the Project Critical Path:
- Project Governance Framework: Puts in place the overarching Project Governance that will ensure that the Operations of the Project are taking place in an effective & efficient manner, with full visibility and mitigation of Risks & Issues, and are in line with delivering the Project Deliverables & Outcomes to the required Time, Cost & Quality Criteria.
ESSENTIAL Required Skills and Experience
- On premise to cloud IT Infrastructure project migration experience
- Experience working for a management consultancy / Systems Integrator
- Minimum 7 years SAP project experience
- SAP S4 Hana project experience
- Good understanding of the end-to-end project life cycle: from pre-sales to end of stabilisation and transition into BaU
- Able to work at all levels of delivery assignment: working with individual end user to farming the account through executive relationships
- Ability to understand and manage budgets to revenue, cost and margin
- Ability to work across a multiple delivery engagements
- Ability to be responsible for a portfolio of projects

- Ability to estimate new pieces of work, applying estimation rules of thumb
- AWS / MS Azure / GCP experience
- Ability to create a project plan to deliver to scope, timelines and budget
- Wide understanding of SAP: Business, Functional, Technical
