Responsibilities:
- Build positive relationships with families to empower them in supporting their children.
- Provide practical and emotional support to improve school attendance and well-being.
- Carry out a DDSL role, working closely with the DSL.
- Act as a link between families, schools, and external agencies.
- Lead Early Help Assessments and attend multi-agency meetings.
- Deliver parent workshops and training sessions on topics such as autism awareness and communication strategies.
Qualifications:
- GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade 4-9 or equivalent).
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care (desirable).
- Driving licence (essential).
- Experience working with children and families, ideally in a school or special educational setting.
- Experience supporting pupils with additional needs (SEMH, ASC, SLD, PMLD).
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work flexibly and proactively.
- Strong IT skills and understanding of safeguarding procedures.
