Head Housekeeper in Warminster

Warminster Full-Time On-site
Bishopstrow

Be our Head Housekeeper but most importantly be you!

At Bishopstrow, we believe the little details make a big difference.

We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Head of Housekeeping to lead our Housekeeping team and take pride in making sure every bedroom, bathroom and guest space looks and feels exactly as it should.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys being part of the operation, supporting their team and creating an environment where high standards come naturally.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll take ownership of the day-to-day running of Housekeeping, leading and developing the team while ensuring our bedrooms and public areas are beautifully presented.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Leading, motivating and developing the Housekeeping team
  • Creating a positive and supportive team experience
  • Maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness and presentation
  • Checking bedrooms and public areas and ensuring rooms are ready on time
  • Managing rotas and planning the team around hotel occupancy
  • Working closely with Reception, Maintenance and the wider hotel team
  • Managing linen, amenities, cleaning products and Housekeeping supplies
  • Supporting recruitment, induction, training and team development
  • Managing departmental costs and maintaining good stock control
  • Ensuring Health & Safety, COSHH and safe working practices are followed
  • Responding to guest feedback and continually looking for ways to improve the guest experience

The role is very much about being visible within the department and working alongside the team, particularly during busy periods.

Who we’re looking for

You’ll ideally already have experience managing a Housekeeping team within a hotel or similar hospitality environment.

More importantly, you’ll be someone who:

  • Has exceptionally high standards and a great eye for detail
  • Enjoys leading people and bringing out the best in a team
  • Is organised and comfortable managing a busy department
  • Can balance guest expectations with operational priorities
  • Takes pride in creating a positive working environment
  • Is confident dealing with suppliers, stock, rotas and departmental costs
  • Is approachable, practical and happy to get involved when needed

You’ll need to be comfortable working 5 days out of 7, including weekends depending on the needs of the hotel.

The whimsical country house hotel offers gregarious rooms, a huge spa and a brand new restaurant that blend refined Georgian elegance with delicious bright colours; imaginative with a dollop of fun. When Kaleidoscope bought the hotel back in July 2021, they promised to re-inject the love and personality that the property so deserved, and we’ve absolutely done that! With newly refurbished suites, a re-launched kitchen garden restaurant and a plethora of pop-up spa and restaurant concepts on their way, Bishopstrow is the perfect place for anybody wanting to be part of an exciting ever changing journey.
