As our evening Laundry Assistant what you’ll be doing:

  • You will be an integral part of our esteemed team- but in the evening from 4:30pm to 10pm, ensuring that every towel and robe meets the highest standards of luxury and elegance.
  • Your role is pivotal in maintaining the impeccable presentation and cleanliness that our discerning guests expect.
  • You will contribute to a culture of excellence and safety while working efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Your primary responsibility is to ensure the seamless operation of the hotel's laundry services, delivering unparalleled quality and care.

Linen Care: Meticulously wash and dry all linen items for the spa and hotel bedrooms, ensuring they exude luxury and comfort.

Machinery Operation: Expertly operate state-of-the-art laundry machinery in compliance with health and safety regulations and manufacturer guidelines.

Chemical Handling: Handle all premium chemicals and detergents with utmost care, adhering to COSHH regulations.

Maintenance Reporting: Ensure all appliances, fixtures, and fittings are in pristine condition, promptly reporting any issues to Maintenance or the Duty Manager.

Inventory Control: Diligently manage the loss and breakage of all high-quality operating equipment.

Infection Control: Transport supplies, clean, and soiled linen to the laundry area, strictly following infection control policies and procedures.

Linen Management: Elegantly fold, count, and stack linen in an organized and timely manner, regularly inspecting for wear and tear and reporting as necessary.

Stock Management: Conduct thorough monthly stock counts of linen and document accordingly.

Supply Monitoring: Monitor and ensure the availability of premium laundry detergents, informing when replenishment is needed.

Distribution: Distribute linen to various areas upon request, ensuring prompt and efficient service.

Cleanliness: Maintain an immaculate and tidy laundry area at all times.

Equipment Maintenance: Ensure detergent levels are sufficient for machine operation and clean tumble dryer lint filters regularly, recording as per company guidelines.

Future Planning: Review napkin washing and ironing for future potential, ensuring the highest standards of presentation.
