The College is seeking to appoint a Day House Pastoral Assistant to enhance the provision of pastoral care in one of our Day Houses.

Each Day House is in the care of a Housemaster/Housemistress and the Houses are a central part of life for all pupils. The House is a focal point of a pupil’s time; it is where they keep all their belongings and spend most of their free time, where they will have their own space to relax or work and is the basis of many fiercely fought competitions!

The role will include working closely and collaboratively with the Housemaster/Housemistress and pastoral/safeguarding team, providing a unified and exceptional level of pastoral care to our pupils. The successful applicant will provide a warm, friendly, supportive and organised environment for our pupils and ensure that there is always someone to listen and provide guidance to any issues that might arise, no matter how small.

The ideal candidate will have experience of dealing with the day to day needs of young people, ideally aged 14-18, on a personal and educational level. The successful candidate will need to be well organised, able to communicate well in person and in writing, and demonstrate a warm and professional demeanour.
