Salary: £26745 (H6 + fringe, pro rata)

37 hours per week - Permanent

Longdean are seeking an enthusiastic anddedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to lead targeted catch-upintervention for Key Stage 3 students who are currently working belowage-related expectations in Maths and English.

About the Role:

• Deliver short-term, high-impact interventionstrategies designed to close gaps in Maths and English for KS3 studentsidentified as behind their peers
• Work from your own fully resourcedintervention classroom, with a dedicated budget to ensure resources remain upto date and responsive to students' needs
• Benefit from close, ongoing support andguidance from the Lead of KS3 Maths and the Lead of KS3 English, who will helpshape and quality-assure your intervention programmes
• Work in close partnership with the SEND teamto ensure a joined-up approach - so that students with additional needs do notfall between the gaps of "SEND support" and "catch-up"provision
• Track student progress and adjustintervention groupings and strategies based on evidence of impact
• Be fully integrated into the life of theschool, working as part of a wider team of teachers, TAs, and pastoral staffrather than in isolation

What we'relooking for:

• HLTA status (or working towards, withwillingness to complete accreditation)
• Experience supporting students who are behindage-related expectations in Maths and/or English at KS3
• A strong understanding of, or willingness tolearn, evidence-based catch-up and intervention strategies
• Excellent communication andrelationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively acrossdepartments (Maths, English, SEND, pastoral)
• A genuine passion for ensuring every student- including those with additional needs - gets the support they need to succeed
• Resilience, flexibility, and asolutions-focused approach to working with students who may have gaps inconfidence as well as attainment
