Salary: H4 (£26,717 - £27,983 including fringe) pro rata. Actual Salary – £19,764 - £20,700 (assuming 32 hours per week).
Hours: Up to approx. 32 hours per week. Term‑time + one week (INSET days) – hours negotiable.
Responsible to: Teaching and Learning Leader for Learning Support (SENDCO).
Contract: Permanent, following 6 month probationary period.
Responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one support, small group interventions, and in‑class support for pupils who require additional assistance.
- Participate in the invigilation of public and internal examinations for pupils requiring access arrangements.
- Supervise classes to cover for temporary absence of teachers.
- Support pupils in the early stages of English language learning, and provide medical/first aid support where required.
- Assist with the delivery of learning support programmes and contribute to the development of a supportive learning environment.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience working with children with SEN and/or medical conditions is desirable but not essential.
- Background in providing support to early English learners, medical/first aid support, or experience with ELSA appreciated.
- Genuine desire to help young people is essential.
