Job Description

As a MOVU Storage Solution Engineer you will be required to carry out the following duties

  • Reporting to the Site / Operations Manager
  • Working within the site team, maintaining a fully automated MOVU system
  • To adopt and support company quality objectives, follow / work within all Health and Safety legislation and guidelines
  • Ensure that Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPMs) is carried out effectively, to the
  • correct standard, and on time
  • Diagnose and correct faults on MOVU system to achieve efficient operational throughputs
  • Maintain performance of the engineered solution, identifying, diagnosing, rectify faults / issues
  • Ensure Company Quality objectives and Health and Safety legislation is adhered to
  • Able to work confidently at all levels of height
  • Ensure all weekly statutory / compliance requirements are completed and up to date
  • Liaising with various suppliers and contractors
  • Completing administrational duties within the department, to monitor spares usage, complete stock checks
  • Working on a shift basis as required, to cover the site operation
  • Maintain hygiene levels within the Engineering Department & site

Aptitudes and abilities:

  • A qualified Electrical / Electro/mechanical Engineer
  • Flexibility and a high level of self-motivation are a must in what is a time critical
  • operation
  • Must be able to work shifts to support operational cover
  • Must possess excellent communication and administration skills
  • Good problem solving skills with a logical approach are essential
  • Able to work in a team and as an individual
  • Have the ability to work within a high-pressure environment and able to react in a
  • manner that will not impact on any customer requirements
  • Able to work confidently at all levels of height
  • Enthusiasm and willingness to learn new skills for future development roles through appropriate training courses

Knowledge/ Experience:

  • Competencies would ideally be split 70/30 electrical/mechanical bias
  • PLC knowledge is required
  • Experience in working on automated pallet systems
  • Successful completion of HND in Engineering or an equivalent qualification is a minimum requirement

Working hours will be Monday to Friday, with negotiable 8 hour shifts (no night shifts).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £44,000.00 per year
