Grade: Grade B, SCP3 (£24,796 per annum, pro rata)
Hours: 6 hours 15 minutes per week, Term Time Only (38 weeks)
St Thomas More Catholic Primary School is a small and friendly primary school in Belmont, Durham. We aim to develop the talents of each pupil as a unique individual whose full potential can be developed in a community which has Christ at its centre.
This is an exciting time to join our supportive, and growing team. The Headteacher and Governors would like to appoint an enthusiastic and committed person to assist staff to supervise pupils during the lunchtime period to ensure the wellbeing and safety of pupils.
Responsibilities:- Offer care and support to pupils throughout lunchtime in accordance with school and Trust policies and procedures.
- Supervise children during lunchtimes in school and on the playground.
- Encourage children with food, promoting good manners and healthy choices.
- Assist to clear tables, wipe down and maintain general cleanliness of the lunch area.
- Communicate effectively with pupils and staff, maintaining good behaviour according to the school’s behaviour policy.
- The ability to engage children in indoor and outdoor activities.
- Good communication skills.
- The ability to work flexibly and without direct supervision.
- Awareness of confidentiality and the need for compliance to relevant policies and procedures.
