This is an exciting opportunity to join the Science Department at Bishop Walsh Catholic School and inspire the next generation of scientists. We are looking for an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and ambitious teacher who can bring Science to life through engaging teaching, practical investigation and a genuine passion for discovery. Our Science curriculum develops scientifically literate young people who can understand and engage with the world around them, while encouraging students to pursue Science at GCSE, Sixth Form and beyond. The successful candidate will have high expectations and share our commitment to providing a stimulating, intellectually challenging learning environment in which every student can flourish.
At Bishop Walsh, our mission, “Guided by Christ, we aspire to achieve,” is at the heart of school life. We are a proud Catholic community where education is rooted in Gospel values and where students are supported to develop academically, spiritually, morally and personally. We are looking for a teacher who will contribute enthusiastically to this community, recognise and nurture the God-given talents of every young person, and work alongside committed colleagues to provide an exceptional education that opens doors to future study, careers and vocation.
We welcome applications from specialists across all Science disciplines - Biology, Chemistry and Physics - and are looking for an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and ambitious teacher who can bring Science to life. The ability to teach a Science subject at A Level would be particularly welcomed, although this is not essential.
