What We’re Looking For
We are looking for an experienced Science/Biology Technician, organised, practical, and passionate about supporting science education. A dedicated Science/Biology Technician to join our successful Science Department and help inspire students across Years 7-13. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organisational skills and an interest in science to play a vital role in supporting high-quality teaching and learning within a busy secondary school environment.
Main Responsibilities
- Prepare, set up and clear away materials and equipment for practical lessons and demonstrations.
- Maintain laboratories, preparation rooms and storage areas to a high standard.
- Assist staff in meeting the practical requirements of the science curriculum.
- Maintain, repair and modify scientific equipment where appropriate.
- Manage stock levels, inventories and ordering of equipment, books and consumables.
- Dispose of waste safely in accordance with regulations.
- Support health and safety procedures, identifying and reporting faults or hazards.
