Bishop Thomas Grant is an outstanding 11-18 mixed Catholic comprehensive school under the Trusteeship of the Catholic Archdiocese of Southwark. The school is seeking a Premises Assistant to support the Premises Manager and strengthen the premises team. The role is part-time (28 hours per week) and year-round, with shifts to suit school needs.

Job Details

  • Salary: NJC Scale 3, points 5-6; full-time equivalent £31,086 to £31,530. Actual pro rata annual salary £24,869 – £25,224
  • Hours: 28 per week, on a shift pattern to suit the needs of the school
  • Contract: Part-time, all year round (additional shifts may be available)
  • Location: Bishop Thomas Grant School
  • Reporting to: Premises Manager
  • To Start: As soon as possible

Responsibilities

  • Support the Premises Manager and the premises team in delivering facilities/maintenance tasks across the school
  • Undertake a wide range of DIY skills, cleaning, portering, and security activities as required
  • Ensure adherence to school safeguarding procedures and responsive to the needs of the site

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Experience in building facilities/maintenance or a similar role
  • Ability to undertake a broad range of DIY and maintenance tasks
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Commitment to safeguarding and working within the school ethos
  • Enhanced DBS check and online safeguarding checks as outlined in KCSIE
