This is an exciting opportunity for a Primary Class Teacher to join Bishop Lonsdale CE Primary Academy, guided by the mission “Children First; in the footsteps of St Chad.” Everything we do is rooted in placing children at the centre of decision-making and supporting them to grow academically, socially and emotionally within a caring and inclusive community.
As a class teacher, you will take responsibility for the learning, progress and wellbeing of your pupils, delivering high-quality, engaging lessons that inspire curiosity and aspiration. You will set high expectations for all learners and ensure teaching is inclusive and responsive to individual needs, so every child has the opportunity to succeed.
Strong relationships underpin effective learning at Bishop Lonsdale. You will foster a calm, respectful and purposeful classroom environment built on trust and harmony, where pupils feel safe, valued and confident to participate fully in their learning. Working closely with teaching assistants, the SENDCo, and other professionals, you will demonstrate dedication to removing barriers to learning and supporting pupils’ academic, social and emotional development.
