The University is seeking to appoint well-qualified and versatile Placement Link Tutors for our Primary ITE programmes. The main role of this post is to provide support for School Based Mentors and trainees during primary placements. You will be the first point of contact between the university and the placement and will play a role in the Partnership’s quality assurance processes. In this role, you will work closely with both the Head of ITE Mentoring and Partnerships, and the Heads of Programmes for Primary and Early Years ITE.
Please note, these are casual, hourly paid positions and we are advertising this position to create a pool of candidates. As these are casual positions, there is no guarantee of any hours.
Recruitment and appointment of Placement Link Tutors is based on merit and equal employment opportunity principles, with all new Placement Link Tutors being interviewed, either online, or in person. A candidate’s suitability is assessed against selection and appointments are offered subject to the candidate meeting the requirements of the role. As a minimum, a Placement Link Tutor must have:
- A right to work in the UK with no relevant work restrictions;
- An honours degree or appropriate equivalent professional qualification;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills;
- Relevant and / or recent school or academic experience.
- Qualified Teacher Status
A DBS check will also be required for the role.
