Audit Assistant Manager

We are looking to recruit an Audit Assistant Manager, who will play a crucial role in managing and delivering high-quality audits for a diverse portfolio of clients. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your audit skills and gain exposure to various industries and business environments. Join one of South-West\’s largest and fastest-growing audit teams, responsible for auditing a variety of clients, from large corporates and rapidly expanding owner-managed businesses to academy schools and charities.

The role supports flexible working arrangements, including working from our new flagship office designed for agile working, from home, or at client sites, with a focus on maintaining a balance that ensures excellent client service.

Beyond daily responsibilities, there are opportunities for career progression, including involvement in business development and management training programs.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the delivery of larger audits and projects.
  • Managing a small client portfolio, adding value through your knowledge and skills.
  • Ensuring the quality of audits within your portfolio.
  • Producing comprehensive audit files for each engagement.
  • Planning audit requirements and managing timelines and budgets.
  • Acting as the primary client contact and managing relationships.
  • Collaborating with Audit Partners and providing regular updates.
  • Coaching and developing junior team members, including performance reviews.
  • Participating in business development and networking activities.

  • ACA/ACCA Qualified
  • Experience managing a range of audit assignments
  • Strong communication skills and relationship-building abilities
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
