Responsibilities
- Provide impartial one‐to‐one career guidance to pupils.
- Deliver targeted careers activities as part of the Careers Programme and Future Ready Programme.
- Support and coordinate the SEND and Inclusion Department; maintain accurate records and coordinate statutory processes and meetings.
- Work closely with the SENDCO to ensure effective provision for pupils with additional needs.
- Allocate working days: three days per week on the Careers Programme and Future Ready Programme, two days per week for SEND and Inclusion support.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Relevant experience in careers guidance, preferably in a secondary school setting.
- Knowledge of SEND provisions and experience supporting pupils with additional needs.
- Good organisational and communication skills.
- Must hold a satisfactory Enhanced DBS and comply with Rehabilitation of Offenders Act requirements.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults.
The position we are filling is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and a satisfactory Enhanced DBS from the Disclosure and Barring Service is required as part of pre‐employment checks.
