Whether you're already teaching in Further Education or you're an experienced industry professional looking to take your first step into education, you enjoy sharing your knowledge and helping others succeed.

We know that some of the very best teachers come straight from industry.

If you have hands‑on experience working within animal care, veterinary nursing, zoology, conservation, animal welfare or a related field, we'd love to hear from you.

Your real‑world expertise is invaluable, bringing practical insight and current industry knowledge into the classroom that our students can learn from every day.

If you don't already hold a teaching qualification, don't let that stop you from applying.

We'll support you every step of the way to gain a recognised teaching qualification while you work, giving you the skills and confidence to build a rewarding career in education.

In this role you'll deliver engaging teaching across our Animal Management curriculum, with a particular focus on Level 1 learners.

These students are often beginning their educational journey and are full of potential.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference, helping them build confidence, develop practical skills and discover a passion for the animal industry.

Watching students grow from their first day into confident, capable learners is one of the most rewarding aspects of the role.

As a Group Tutor, you'll also have the opportunity to support a designated group of students throughout their time at college.

You'll act as a mentor, offering guidance, celebrating achievements and helping learners overcome challenges, ensuring they feel supported both academically and personally.

You could currently be

  • Teaching Animal Management or a related subject in Further or Higher Education.
  • Working in industry within animal care, veterinary nursing, zoology, conservation or animal welfare and looking for a new challenge where you can pass on your expertise.

Whether you're an experienced lecturer or taking your first steps into teaching, we’ll invest in your development, support you to achieve a teaching qualification if required, and help you build a rewarding career where you can make a genuine difference to the lives of young people and the future of the animal management industry.
