30 Hours Per Week, Working 37 Weeks Per Year, Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5pm

Annual Salary Β£16,154.23 Pro Rata (Full Time Equivalent Β£24,522)

Are you passionate about helping young people overcome barriers and achieve their full potential? We are looking for a caring, resilient and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our Student Support team at Riseholme College.

You may currently be working as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Support Worker or within a school, college, care or community setting. Alternatively, you may have gained valuable experience supporting young people through volunteering and are now ready to build a rewarding career in education.

In this varied role, you will support students with a wide range of learning difficulties, disabilities and additional needs. Working alongside teaching staff, you will provide individual and classroom-based support, helping students participate in academic and practical activities. You will also support students around campus, during breaks and lunchtimes, and when arriving at or leaving College.

Good literacy and numeracy skills, an understanding of safeguarding and a genuine commitment to inclusive education would be advantageous. Experience supporting students with SEND, complex needs or challenging behaviours would be advantageous. Most importantly, you will be patient, approachable and able to remain calm and positive when faced with challenging situations.

At Riseholme College, you will join a welcoming and collaborative Student Support team dedicated to helping every learner thrive academically and personally. You will work closely with curriculum colleagues and have opportunities to develop your knowledge and skills through ongoing training.
