Salary £25,847 Per Annum
Typically worked on a rota covering early mornings and occasional evenings to support campus operations. Overtime may be available during peak periods, events, and emergencies.
Are you a practical, reliable person who takes pride in keeping buildings safe, secure and well maintained? We are looking for a Caretaker to join our Estates team and help create a welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors.
You may currently be working in caretaking, facilities, property maintenance or another hands‑on role within a school, business, leisure facility or residential setting. You will bring experience of basic repairs and maintenance, an understanding of health and safety, and a friendly, helpful approach. You will be comfortable working independently, using your initiative and responding to changing priorities.
Your role will be varied, from opening and securing buildings and carrying out routine inspections to completing minor repairs, setting up rooms and supporting deliveries. You will also help keep access routes safe, report maintenance concerns and support College events, with flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends. You may be required to support duties at our Riseholme campus.
At Bishop Burton College, your work will make a visible difference every day. By helping maintain our teaching spaces, specialist facilities and wider campus, you will support students to learn and staff to deliver their best. Joining our Estates team offers the opportunity to put your practical skills to good use in an educational environment where teamwork, care and pride in your work matter.
If you enjoy solving problems, helping others and getting involved in a varied working day, we would love to hear from you.
