St. Thomas More Catholic High School is a member of the Bishop Bewick Catholic Education Trust.

We wish to appoint as lay chaplain a practising Catholic with the appropriate skills and personal qualities to work with all members of our school community, supporting us in our journey of faith and helping us to put our mission statement into practice in our Work, Worship and Relationships.

St Thomas More is an oversubscribed school, has an excellent reputation and is recognised for the quality of education, achievement, and our commitment to developing people at all levels. It serves the whole of North Tyneside and the Tynemouth Priory Partnership and has a strong, genuinely comprehensive intake.

We are seeking to appoint someone to build on existing practice, to bring new ideas and approaches, and to help define and develop the role to meet the needs of our school community.

The Local Governing Committee is committed to safeguarding and the protection of its pupils. The post is subject to an Enhanced DBS and social media check.
