We are seeking a UK based, motivated and operations-focused Junior Network Engineer to join our growing team. This role is central to ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of our network infrastructure. As we expand, you will play a critical part in maintaining our network and providing expert-level support for both internal teams and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with colocation partners and upstream providers to ensure network reliability and performance.
  • Respond to network incidents, conducting investigations, implementing resolutions, or escalating as appropriate.
  • Provide 3rd-line network support to internal support teams.
  • Coordinate with datacentre remote hands for physical troubleshooting and remediation.
  • Ensure that all network device configurations align with intended design specifications.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation and device inventory.
  • Participate in scheduled maintenance windows, including configuration deployments and device software upgrades.

We will be starting interviews for this role around the 16th of March.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Hands-on operational experience with network infrastructure and incident response.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, architectures, and best practices.
  • Experience engaging with external vendors, partners, and datacentre personnel.
  • Proficiency in reviewing and managing device configurations and documentation.
  • Willingness to participate in maintenance windows and on-call rotation as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Arista networking equipment.
  • Familiarity with other major network vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Nokia, Fortigate, and Dell.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in complex network environments.
