A well-established London talent agency representing leading creative talent across the UK and US is looking for a hands-on Head of Accounts & Operations to join the team on a maternity cover contract (with potential to become permanent).
This is a pivotal role at the heart of a fast-paced, collaborative agency with a supportive culture and ambitious growth plans. Reporting to the Managing Directors, you’ll lead day-to-day finance and operations, taking full ownership of core processes while helping keep the business running smoothly as it grows.
Key responsibilities include:
- Revenue invoicing, payment tracking, and AP/AR oversight
- Monthly management accounts, financial reporting (P&L, balance sheet, commissions)
- Bank and credit card reconciliations, month-end and year-end processes
- Budgeting, forecasting, and agent projections
- Payroll administration and expenses
- VAT and Corporation Tax support with external accountants
- Maintaining accurate financial records and compliance
- International payments and exchange rate monitoring
- Liaising with accountants, banks, suppliers, and internal teams
- Supporting day-to-day operational and business processes
What we’re looking for:
- 3+ years’ experience in a finance/accounts role
- Strong experience with Xero (or similar) and Excel
- Confident producing management accounts and financial reports
- Operational experience highly desirable
- Agency experience advantageous (not essential)
- Highly organised, detail-focused and analytical
- Proactive, hands-on, and comfortable owning a broad remit
- Strong communicator who enjoys working closely with teams
