We are looking for a motivated and experienced Pack Team Lead to join our team at Gateshead Team Valley. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of 5-10 employees, ensuring all training requirements are met.
- Oversee packing production, ensuring orders are delivered on time and meet customer specifications.
- Drive shift efficiency to maximize output and minimise waste while adhering to health and safety procedures.
- Stand in for the Shift Manager when needed.
- Liaise with the Product Lead to ensure product quality and schedule adherence.
- Train and verify competency on all relevant quality control checks and train Production Operators.
- Perform GMP audits, risk assessments, and ensure all stock rotation, line clearance, and traceability procedures are followed.
- Lead Continuous Improvement projects and support the Shift Manager in delivering Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) targets.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Proven experience in food manufacturing and food handling.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good numeracy skills.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Right to work in the United Kingdom.
- Level 2 Food Safety.
