Inventory Controller

About Us:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Controller to join our Supply Chain team. In this role, you will ensure efficient and effective management of inventory, predicting and optimizing stock levels to meet business needs. You will oversee the flow of goods to minimize costs and ensure timely deliveries while analysing data and identifying inefficiencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain relationships with our European entities, 3PLs, and logistics partners, demonstrating visibility and presence.
  • Manage inventory, track MLOR, derogations, and any potential re-work of stock.
  • Reconcile stock at 3PLs, ensuring stocks balance both weekly and at month/year-end, and investigate and log discrepancies.
  • Responsible for stock replenishment, ensuring stock is tracked, delivered, and available as required, fast-tracked when necessary.
  • Liaise with freight forwarders and logistics partners.
  • Establish strong working relationships with colleagues and other stakeholders within the company and the BI Group.
  • Act as the point of contact for the commercial, customer service, planning, and NPD teams, advising on any product, supply chain, or customer challenges.
  • Assist in the management of new product launches, de-listed products, and promotional/seasonal requirements via tracking orders, working to fixed seasonal deadlines, and collaborating with hauliers to meet on-time deliveries.
  • Conduct data analysis, including but not limited to stock, logistics, sales forecasts, and customer demand.

Skills & Experience:

  • Supply chain FMCG background.
  • Professional interaction with all stakeholders.
  • Display openness, honesty, and respect for colleagues during significant business challenges.
  • Strong advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft packages.
  • Experience in inventory management and ERP knowledge (preferably SAP).
  • Customer sales and forecasting analysis experience is desirable.
  • Knowledge of stock replenishment and product life.
  • Ability to spot anomalies and flag them to relevant stakeholders.
  • Flexible approach, adapting to new situations as they arise.
  • Passion and track record for delivering service, quality, and excellence.
  • Excellent communicator, able to think on their feet, remain calm and resilient, and be a proactive multi-tasker.
  • Diligence, accuracy, and attention to detail always.
  • Logical thinker.
