We are seeking an experienced Demand Manager to join our Supply Chain function in Gateshead and play a key role in driving accurate forecasting, customer collaboration and end-to-end demand planning excellence. Reporting to the Supply Chain Director, this position is integral to aligning commercial, operational and strategic inputs to build a reliable demand forecast for the UK entity.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the UK demand planning process end-to-end
- Drive entity-level demand consensus and forecast sign-off
- Capture demand assumptions from the sales team and maintain the UK forecast in IBP
- Analyse forecast vs actuals and provide insight into variances
- Align local demand planning with Group requirements
- Collaborate with key customers, using customer portals and regular communication
- Increase customer collaboration to improve forecast reliability
- Prepare monthly demand packs and assumptions for Group S&OP
- Participate in group-wide process improvement initiatives
- Track event-based demand (promotions, seasonal activity etc.)
- Manage range changes and RIRO activity to eliminate FG write-off risk

- Significant experience in a demand planning role
- Strong communicator with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders
- High accuracy, diligence and attention to detail
- Logical thinker who can work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Customer-focused mindset with strong interpersonal skills
- Experience using SAP and IBP
- Understanding of demand drivers and assumptions
- Flexible, proactive and supportive team player
